Help make firsts possible-safety, calm, and connection
Cana is more than a bed for the night, or a stopgap until you get back on your feet. For many, it may be the first time someone truly sees them—for everything they are, and everything they’ve been through. It’s a relationship built on kindness and care.
Here, one community member shares what it meant to finally feel safe—and how your support can help others do the same through our June Appeal.
Shared Stories: Kindness was unfamiliar
When someone arrives at a Cana house, safety is often the first need—and the hardest thing to believe in.
Here's a lived experience with us:
Today: I am safe, connected, and no longer alone.
Rising costs are putting this support at risk. As a non-government funded charity, we’re facing increasing pressure to cover rent, food, power, and insurance—as well as the day-to-day needs of those we support: bedding, clean towels, toiletries, medical and dental care, mental health support, and transport to essential appointments.
We need to raise $200,000 before 30 June to keep our community running and ensure more people get the chance they deserve.
Please don't wait. Donate today, and help us continue this vital work.
